Hello, my name is Colleen and I?m the maker behind Little Lionhead Knits hand-dyed yarns! I currently reside in Northern Virginia. My fiber journey began after moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2013. During the few years I spent living there, I taught myself how to knit. It quickly turned into a passion of mine one knit project at a time. In the summer of 2016 I started experimenting with dyeing yarn because I wanted to try and dye specific colors and fell in love with the process. I officially began my small hand-dyed yarn business on Etsy in 2018 and have just recently moved to my own website, littlelionheadknits.com!
You could say I?m a bit of a vintage soul. My inspiration for yarn colorways comes from record players, classic novels, old cowboy boots, typewriters, and folk music from the 60?s and 70?s. Another huge inspiration is film photography and the film cameras I use to capture life around me. I?m very inspired by the nature and wildlife I find in the beautiful states of Tennessee and Virginia.
My sweet little Lionhead bunny is my shop logo. I bought him five years ago while living in Chattanooga and he?s been with me on my fiber journey ever since. He loves blueberries, snuggling and chewing on everything he can find (including yarn). As a bunny owner and animal lover, I find it very important that no animals were harmed in the process of making my bases which is why my yarn is ethically sourced. On top of all that of my yarns are top quality and very soft!
I hope y?all will find something you like at the trunk show, thanks so much Loopville Yarns for hosting me! ~Colleen
